I am encouraged to put my own ideas into the workshop which helps me get involved with the other members in the group. It is so important to me because every time I go there is always something different happening. It offers me activities that I wouldn't normally get the chance to do
I think the workshop we have done will have a lot of benefits to communication in the workplace and also we will look at doing some more workshops in the future to deal with conflict resolution, communication, collaboration and trust as this one was received so well.
The workshop we did was beneficial and really improved communication between team members, people who rarely spoke to one another got a chance to develop communication channels in ways which they would not in general working life.
The arts based activities took the emphasis off work and put it firmly on the team. People were able to open up more and many of the staff commented how it felt like the were able to take a step back from work issues and this meant they could engage with people differently which they could then take back with them when they were dealing with people in a work situation.

We have collaborated with Beating Anger Derby to develop and deliver a ground breaking Emotional Development Course for Adults with Learning Difficulties.
We have spent the last 6 months collaborating to bring innovation to the area of emotional development and emotional resilience.
We have designed and implemented an Emotional Development course to help our service users understand themselves better, build self esteem and be able to understand others better. Once we designed the course with Julian we spent the last 10 weeks running a pilot with a small group of services users. Each week we reviewed how it went and adjusted the content and the timings to improve it.
We are holding a celebration and award ceremony at Derby University Multi Faith Centre on Wednesday 19th October at 10 am. The Mayor of Derby (Councillor ) will be in attendance, to personally congratulated the participants.
We want to recognise the journey our delegates have been on and each individual’s achievements. Anyone interested in services for Adults with Learning Difficulties or Mental Health issues are welcome to attend. It is here we will reveal the findings of our trial which includes the final improved version of the course.
